To the editor,

Our Library, and Library Book Ban

I attended a meeting with many in the community and experienced a look at some pictures taken from the Banned Books that are consideration. I also listened to the Director, and a state representative for libraries. The Board appeared that they backed, went along with the Director and States way of thinking. When asked to speak, I could hardly talk–my heart was saddened for–first the Children of our community, their Families, and also the many Vulnerable persons that could be led astray. By the contents of these books.

O' I pray to God the Father for the Director, the Board, and Staff that God would soften their hearts, and that these folks would see how leading and or purposely exposing Children, Families, and Vulnerable people to books that can first cause confusion, and worse that they might consider going through with what they see in the books of sex acts between boys with boys, girls with girls, having sex with yourself while driving down the road, out in the open and even going to the extent of sharing with others that it is a good fun acceptable thing to do.

I pray to God that The Director, the Board and Staff would see how exposing the Children, Families and the Vulnerable to these books–could lead to the serious breaking down, and even tearing apart relationships between a husband and wife–man and woman, and living out their nurturing role as parents of children. The entire Family can be thrown in a confused dysfunctional state. I pray that ALL who are in authority of any sort with the library can see that by sharing these books, giving access to these books, has no positive benefits to anyone in our community.

I pray to God that the Director, the Board and staff realize the detrimental effects that they are causing in our County, our Dayton community–and that they would humble themselves, put aside their pride, ask for forgiveness, and ask God for help–to help them change, in their thinking, words and actions–not only for themselves, but most important for the benefit of the entire Community. I pray that these folks in authority truly and full accept the responsibility that they have been given to help enrich the Lives of ALL those that visit our Columbia County Dayton Library.

I also pray to God that if these men and women that are in authority positions for the library, that if they do not decide to change their ways of thinking, talking and acting that God will bring in New People that Truly Care for the health and wellbeing, and enrichment of the lives of entire community.

I pray that God would act in a timely manner to help ALL folks in our community, to turn away from lustful, self-desirous ways. And I pray that they do indeed humble themselves, open their minds and hearts, and to turn to God–for He will help and guide ALL who earnestly turn to Him–that He promised.

I PRAY that ALL would PRAY, and listen, listen to what God is saying, then act to do the right thing for the entire community without hesitation–Today! Please help–do your part as citizen who truly cares for the healthy growth and wellbeing of ALL persons in our Columbia County Dayton. Please take action!
