Middle School wrestlers from Dayton and Waitsburg are chalking up wins in a number of matches since their season started in January. Coaching the team is Tracy Pearson.

At Lincoln Middle School in Clarkston on February 8, four wrestlers won both of their bouts. Akayden Mikesell pinned opponents from Jenifer M.S. and Clearwater Valley; Luke Collier pinned wrestlers from Jenifer and Clearwater; Byron Collier won by decision over a Pomeroy opponent and pinned a Lincoln wrestler; and Hunter Griffen pinned Pomeroy and Jenifer wrestlers.

Carter Barron split his bouts and Gavin Mikesell and Monte Richie both were pinned by their opponents.

Barron won both bouts at Lincoln M.S. in Pullman on Feb. 2, pinning Asotin and Orofino wrestlers. Akayden Mikesell pinned a Potlatch wrestler and won by disqualification over a Moscow athlete. Monte Richie pinned his Asotin opponent after a first-round bye.

Gavin Mikesell, B. Collier and Griffen split against their opponents. Luke Collier lost his match against a Moscow wrestler.

January 26 wrestling at Jenifer in Lewiston saw four wrestlers, Barron, G. Mikesell, A. Mikesell and Richie winning both their bouts. Collier and Griffen both lost their two matches.
