Marilyn Kaye Roff

June 30, 1937–March 7, 2023

Our much loved, devoted mother, grandmother and friend, Marilyn Kaye Roff, gained her "angel wings" on March 7, 2023 in Dayton, Wash.

Mom was born to Cecil and Clara (Webb) Williams on June 30, 1937 and growing up she attended Dayton Schools. In 1956, she married Norman Roff and they became the proud parents of five children. Family was always first and frequent get-togethers with homemade favorite foods and activities were a must!

"A Life Well Lived", Mom loved her family and all who crossed her path. For over 30 years, she was a school bus driver for Dayton School District. Popular with the kids, Mom was probably the most requested bus driver for field trips, sports/rooter buses and Senior Sneaks! She was a very proud and active member of Town & Country Club, Craft Club, DHS Alumni and Past-President of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Mom delivered Meals on Wheels for Dayton Senior Center and drove Columbia County Transportation bus, serving the Community for many more years. She truly enjoyed knitting baby sweaters and dishcloths for gifts, playing golf, fishing, meals with family and friends, swim exercise classes, and country music.

An amazingly loving and supportive "Granny Bear", her grandchildren always knew Grandma would be "front and center" for band concerts, piano recitals, figure skating/theatre performances, parades, and all sports games.

Always ready to travel, Mom cherished memories of many destination trips including Hawaii, Disneyland, South Korea, St. Thomas, Alaska Cruise, Pacific Coast Cruise, California Redwoods, and Branson, Missouri.

Mom is survived by daughters Diana (Ron) Ashley, Sherry (Russ) White, Kathy (Terry) Gallaher, son Norman (Debbie) Roff; grandchildren Chelsie, Chandra, Derek, Devin, Darci, Charlie, Angela; 13 great grandchildren; sisters Marilene (Paul) Weed, Bev Gaines (Darrell); nieces, nephews and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman, her parents, sister Donna Ledgerwood, Alvin Ashley & daughter Glenda Barron.

A Celebration of Life is planned for May 6, 1-3 p.m. at the Dayton Senior Center. Tacos by Dayton Eagles.

Arrangements are entrusted to Corbeill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dayton Senior Center, Dayton Eagles, or DHS Alumni.
