McCauley fourth at District, state qualified

Wyntr McCauley was the fourth-place winner in Extemporaneous Speaking during the FFA District VI competition in Asotin, Wash. on March 23. The top four competitors move on to compete at State in May.

DAYTON–The local FFA Chapter members participated in the District and State Qualifier competition in Asotin and Pullman on March 22 and 23.

This week, the Dayton FFA Agronomy team: Graci Turner, Colt Clemens, Gloree Grace, and Rosemary Yutzy, went to Pullman to compete in State Agronomy on March 22. These individuals have worked hard during practice time during school hours continuously for months. They placed 12th in State Agronomy and had a great experience competing.

FFA member Wyntr McCauley attended the Asotin District Speaking and Leadership events to compete in Extemporaneous Speaking on March 23. This event had eight competitors, and the top four were selected to go to State in May. McCauley placed fourth, qualifying to compete in Extemporaneous Speaking during State Convention on May 11-13 in Tri-cities.

The Robotics Club has been working on a fundraiser for this month. In March, they will sell chocolate Easter Bunnies and stuffed animals in Dayton High School (DHS) commons until Friday, March 31. These Easter goodies will be delivered by a robot built by the Robotics Club Members.

Spring Break is coming up April 3-7. Enjoy some well-deserved time away after a long winter!
