POMEROY-The Garfield County Transportation Authority (GCTA) discussed management job descriptions and an accountability audit, and passed two policy updates at their meeting on May 15.

The GCTA decided to advertise for a full-time general manager position with a salary range of $50,000-$65,000. If the position is filled through promotion, the position of operational manager may become open.

A recently completed accountability audit conducted by Washington State found no major red flags and only a few minor adjustments that need to be made. The total cost of the audit is about $7,300.

The GCTA passed updates to two policies. The Drug and Alcohol Policy wording was updated to use the term ‘opioids’ in place of ‘opiates’, and the Title VI non-discrimination policy was updated on the request of the Federal Transit Administration. The policy was last updated in 2011.
