DAYTON–DW's Lady Wolfpack Fastpitch ten-runned the Goldendale Lady Timberwolves 16-1 here Wednesday, May 17, to advance in the District 5 2B Fastpitch Softball tournament, but then fell to Kittitas-Thorpe and Cle Elum-Roslyn to bow out of post-season play.

Dayton-Waitsburg faced EWAC 5 West league champion Kittitas-Thorpe on Friday, May 19, and trailed by a handful of points through the early innings before the Lady Coyotes poured in nine runs in the top of the seventh inning for the 17-1 win. Teagan Culley scored DW's sole run in the bottom of the ninth.

In the second game of the day, DW again fell behind early and when the Lady Wolfpack mustered points, they were too little, too late. By the time DW's defense kicked into gear, the Lady Warriors had a 7-0 lead which they added five runs to by the bottom of the sixth for a ten-run rule walk-off.

Eight errors and a scarcity of hits hampered DW against Kittitas's 14-hit and one-error play. Catcher Peyton Struckmeier made two of DW's hits, with Marissa Tupling, Samantha Boggs and Shaylah King accounting for the Wolfpack's five hits.

Cle Elum-Roslyn Lady Warrior took a 3-0 lead in the first, made it 7-0 in the second and gave up two runs to DW in the top of the fifth before finishing with five runs in the last two innings and a 12-2 win on 12 hits. The Lady Wolfpack garnered seven hits and were better on errors with two to CER's three.

Against Goldendale on May 17, the Lady Wolfpack rattled the bats for eight hits and capped errors to two in the shortened, three-inning game where they ran in eight runs in the bottom of the third for the walk-off win.

Lila Hutchens smacked a triple in one of her two-of-two plate appearances. Peyton Struckmeier also counted two hits.

Nearly the entire lineup counted RBIs in the game, with left fielder Alyssa Segraves knocking in three, and Madison Gallardo and Teagan Culley bring in two apiece.

Kameryn Tupling pitched three innings, allowing one hit, walking three and striking out three.
