13 Pirate Baseball players receive letters

POMEROY-The Pirate Baseball awards were held at the Shepherd Fields on May 24. Head Coach Kyler Lovgren praised the 2023 team for their hard work and their willingness to make adjustments throughout the season. He recognized Trevin Kimble, Trace Roberts and Ollie Severs for their leadership in putting in extra practice to make adjustments needed to succeed. "All in all," Lovgren said, "great job guys."

Trace Roberts received the Big Stick award, Jayden Slusser received Most Inspirational, and Trevin Kimble was award Most Valuable Player.

Receiving participation letters were Brodie Magill, Trevin Kimble and Jayden Slusser-seniors-and Trace Roberts, Ollie Severs, Merritt Scoggin, Nick Bryson, Jett Slusser, Jeremiah Lamont, Gunner Magill, Peyton Cannon, Vincent Vecchio, and Lucian Setzer. Trevin Kimble and Brodie Magill received Four-Year Letter pins. Severs, Roberts and Kimble were named All-League players and Brodie Magill received honorable mention for All-League.
