DAYTON-Foodstock 2023 will be held at Blue Mountain Station in Dayton on Saturday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Foodstock 2023 includes love bead stringing, face painting, making tie-dye shirts, splashing down a water slide, and browsing the wares of area artists and crafters. Live music will feature two regional groups: Calico Bones and The Wasteland Kings.

In addition to food specials at the Co-op Market at Blue Mountain Station, food vendors will be on-site, offering a variety of international foods, including Mexican, Italian, Asian and American. Wine, cider, and premium liqueur tasting will also be available in addition to a beer garden.

"We always look forward to this event," says Jennie Dickinson, Executive Director of the Port of Columbia. "Foodstock is great fun with a carefree spirit. It happens in a beautiful rural setting on a warm summer day with family-friendly activities and easy access to live music, a variety of vendors, and specialty food and drinks."

The first Foodstock in Dayton was held in August of 2015 on the anniversary date of Woodstock. The idea originated with Regina Weldert, who owns Rey's Roast Coffee, which produces wholesale micro roast coffee at Blue Mountain Station. Since 2015, the annual date has moved to the third Saturday of July to coincide with Dayton's Alumni Weekend.

Admission is free to the family-friendly event.
