A single-car rollover July 9, about a mile east of Waitsburg on Highway 12 resulted in a totaled vehicle and roadside vegetation catching fire, and the driver was saved from injury by a passerby, according to the Washington State Patrol. Justin Brady, 47, Kennewick was eastbound when he lost control of the 1997 Mazda pickup he was driving, overcorrected and rolled, according to Trooper Jacob Grandstaff. The pickup went toward a power pole, struck a fence and caught fire, an alert passerby pulling Brady from the vehicle before it became engulfed in fire.
