POMEROY–Steve Kazda, secretary of Evening Star Lodge No. 30, Free and Accepted Masons, presented two bikes to two Bikes for Books winners Nick Wiggins and Lily Hyer recently. Nick Wiggins, grandson of Justin and Leah Wiggins, and Lily Hyer, daughter of Zach and Allie Hyer, were the recipients of the Bikes for Books program in June. Students are entered into a drawing each week if they meet the reading goal of 100 minutes. The drawing takes place twice a year with a total of four bikes given away. Pomeroy Elementary is very lucky to have such a great organization support our students in their reading accomplishments. The Bikes for Books program is sponsored by Evening Star Lodge No. 30 and represented by secretary, Steve Kazda.
