Kaelie Jonas, a Dayton FFA member, took her lamb project to the Walla Walla Fair this year and received Grand Champion FFA Market Lamb.

DAYTON–This year, Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days took place on August 31 through September 3. Four Dayton FFA members, Gloree Grace, Kaelie Jonas, Elsie Mann, and Wyntr McCauley all brought their projects to this fair.

Gloree and Wyntr both showed swine, Elsie showed a steer, and Kaelie showed a lamb. All these members participated in livestock judging, fitting & showing classes, market classes, and sale.

Kaelie Jonas and her lamb won Grand Champion FFA Market Lamb, third Overall Market Lamb, and third in the FFA fitting & showing class.

Elsie Mann and her steer "Buddy" won Grand Champion FFA Market Steer. Elsie said, "This year I brought my steer Buddy to the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days, winning FFA Grand Champion Market Steer for the third year in a row," said Mann. "FFA has had a major impact on my life throughout the years, teaching responsibility, work ethic, independence, and leadership. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of my FFA chapter, and all the things I have learned through it. I am also thankful for each animal I have gotten the chance to work with, and everything each one of them has taught me," she continued.

Both Gloree and Wyntr received blue ribbons in both classes.

Wyntr McCauley decided to not only enter her pig into the fair this year but also seven different photos she has taken. She received nine big ribbons and seven blue ribbons at the fair. The ribbons she was awarded were the Reserve Best of Show, Reserve Champion, Reserve Grand Champion, Superintendent Award, and four Champion ribbons.

An amazing community member, Judson Hall, did an outstanding job this year at Walla Walla Fair. He brought a steer named "Cody" and he was a Charolais Cross. Cody weighed 1,394 pounds. Judson participated in livestock judging, fitting & showing, market class, and sale. Hall was awarded Grand Champion 4-H Market Steer and the Overall Grand Champion Market Steer. What an amazing year for these individuals who have achieved many things and raised awesome livestock.
