DAYTON–Seeking volunteers to help set-up nativities in vacant buildings main street windows, and building owners or occupants to include this seasonal display in their window. Also wanted are more nativity scenes to fill windows that remain dark during the Christmas Kick-off festivities Friday through Sunday, November 24-27.
For the second year, Christmas Kickoff, on Thanksgiving weekend, will include a walking tour of a variety of nativities in the windows of local businesses. Some will be in open storefronts and others in vacant buildings. The display dates are Friday November 24 through Sunday November 26.
There is always a need for more nativities to be displayed as well as helpers to display them. They would be well taken care of and, in open businesses, would be protected from handling.
Set up will begin on the Friday before Thanksgiving, November 17.
