DAYTON–The local FFA chapter went to Colfax for the Evergreen Tour earlier this week. The Evergreen Tour is led by the Washington FFA State Officers and is filled with activities and workshops about leadership and qualities within it. The State Officers then announce at each stop in Washington the theme of this year's Washington FFA State Convention. Two vans full of Dayton FFA Chapter members enjoyed getting to know the State Officers and participating in excellent workshops.

The first Dayton FFA Chapter meeting is set in the Ag Shop on October 11. Pizza will be provided.

Dayton FFA will compete at a Soil competition on Wednesday, October 11, in St. John at 9 a.m., then on Wednesday, October 18, at the Garfield County Soil event.

The Dayton FFA Chapter Officers will meet in Colton for the Chapter Officer Training led by the District 6 FFA Officers on October 21 at 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

The athletics program is thriving right now due to all the support surrounding the athletes and coaches as they rebuild the Bulldog sports program. These athletes have been working hard as they play three games this week and will do this again next week. Earlier this week, the High School Varsity Volleyball girls played in our home gym with the theme "Red Out."

A "Western" theme was planned for the next home game against Pomeroy on Tuesday, October 10. Junior Varsity starts at 5 p.m., and Varsity at 6 p.m.
