Phil Monfort, in his trademark bib overalls, reveled in the well wishes and warm attention showered on him during a community 100th Birthday celebration last Sunday in Waitsburg. Unfortunately, some members of his family tested positive, thus the mask, but dozens turned out to wish Phil well. No, the Fire Department wasn't necessary to put out the 100–Count 'em–100 candles on the birthday cake.
