The stage of Dayton's Liberty Theater will be transformed into an undersea wonderland as the live production of Disney's The Little Mermaid begins its 13-performance run on Thursday, November 9.
DAYTON–This year's fall musical at the Liberty theater is Disney's The Little Mermaid, a story familiar to many of us from two Disney movies and the older fairy tale. It's the story of a young woman growing up, following her dream, finding herself. It's the story of a loving parent learning to understand the person she has become, and letting her go into the world. It's the story of two families with different cultures learning to accept each other as their children get married.

It's also a spectacle of entertainment, with both poignant and funny musical numbers, fantastical settings, and colorful imagery. Our new young directors this year bring a fresh approach and abundant ideas to Liberty's stage. You'll be amazed at the creative artistry in this production!
There will be 13 showings, from Thursday, November 9 to December 2. Opening night November 9 is Family Night, with a special low price.
