Dayton woman in Highway 12 fatal accident

WALLA WALLA–A 44-year-old Dayton woman died following a head-on collision on State Route 12 three miles east of here January 10. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
Leearon A. Kennedy was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Kennedy was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban westbound on Highway 12. An eastbound 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Carl E. Adams, 57, of Walla Walla, collided with the Kennedy vehicle in the center of the roadway, according to the WSP. Adams and a passenger in his vehicle, Timothy L. Prock, 62, of Milton-Freewater, Ore., was injured and transported to Providence St. Mary.
All involved in the mishap were wearing seat belts. Both vehicles were totaled.
