"Seniors of the Saraha" on stage

DAYTON–A magical romantic comedy, Seniors of the Saraha, hits the stage this weekend at Dayton's Liberty Theater for three shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The curtain rises for both Friday and Saturday performances at 7 p.m. and Sunday's show is a 3 p.m. matinee.

Headlining the two-act comedy is Kim Boggs as Sylvia Goldberg, Deb Fortner as Mabel Millstein and Kris Takemura as Fannie. Others on the cast are Roz Edwards as Thelma Wachter, Dale Slack as Eugene, Fred Crowe as Savalis, Dave Molesh as Refik/Herman, and Katie Leid as the Mistress of Ceremonies.

The comedy was written by Barbara Pease Weber and is directed by Bev Startin. Set design and construction is by Joe Huether.

The story involves Sylvia Goldberg, a respectable retired New Jersey school teacher,who brings home more than just souvenirs upon returning from her grandson's wedding in Israel. Sylvie's troubles begin when she realizes that the old teapot she purchased at an outdoor market is actually a priceless relic.

"Seniors of the Sahara" is a TVAC Production, presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
