Brix & Brew Fund Raiser a howling success

Barbara Miller, left, who with Jack Miller, donated a registered Yellow Labrador puppy for auction at the Dayton Chamber of Commerce's Brix & Brew Fundraiser last Friday, says a final goodbye to the puppy in the arms of new owners John and Nichole Whitchurch of Lowden, who successfully bid for the beautiful dog. The event garnered well over $23,000 in funds from silent and live auctions, all to benefit future events of the Chamber. "Brix & Brew was a fantastic evening and very successful!" commented Chamber Executive Director Belinda Larsen. "I think we had more trips of a unique variety this year and more of them then we've had in the past. Plus we offered up some different opportunities for people to bid on. Our silent auction items were filled with such a wide variety of miscellaneous items as well." As they say, "a good time was had by all.
