Yamate students arrival eagerly anticipated
DAYTON–The Yamate exchange students will be arriving on Friday, April 12. Upon arrival they will have the chance to come into the Dayton High School (DHS) dress closet and pick out a dress to wear to Prom.
Prom will be held on Saturday, April 13. The Junior class started to sell tickets Monday, March 25 in the DHS Commons.
Students who are interested in attending the Japan trip in July must notify Mrs. Warren by Friday, March 29. Congratulations to the first time ever Yamate Scholarship Winner, Lukas Winkler!
DHS Golf will be playing at the Walla Walla Country Club on Thursday, March 28, starting at 3 p.m. There is early release on Friday, March 29, and the Associated Student Body (ASB) is actively planning on activities for students to do this day. There will also be breakfast in the commons provided by the Bulldog Brave Club. Saturday, March 30, there will be a Track meet at Hanford High School starting at 10:30 AM.
There are many scholarship deadlines quickly approaching before Spring Break starts on April 1. If you are a Senior or Alumni, be sure to check out the Dayton School District Website to find scholarships available for application. Seniors who are looking for more community service hours can see Mrs. Warren to help National Honors Society stuff Easter eggs.
