Bulldog Track and Field competes at Hawk Invite

COLLEGE PLACE–An overcast and threatening sky hung over the Hawk Invite Saturday, March 23, but Mother Nature held the rain off allowing 14 area high schools to compete. The Bulldog men finished in 13th place with 10 points and the short-handed women's team didn't finish with points.

"We were fairly sure we were going to be drenched," said Head Coach Dan Nechodom, "but the storms went south and it turned out to be a great day for a meet.

"Luke Winkler, because it was his first meet, was placed in a slower heat of runners for the 100m. dash. He won by nearly 10 meters and is now ranked second in the league. He's looking forward to running against faster competition."
