Candidate filing week changed

DAYTON–The week in which political candidates may file for open elected positions has been changed to the first week in May, May 6 through 10, according to Cathy Abel, Chief Operations Deputy with the Columbia County Auditor's Office.
Filing opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 6, and closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10, Abel says.
Candidates having second thoughts may withdraw their candidacy by 5 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2024.
