Lady Dawgs sweep Lady Bucs

The Lady Bulldogs finished a three-game sweep of Pomeroy Tuesday at home with a 19-8 win and they sit solidly in second place in SE1B standings. Pirate batter Olivia Cooper high tails it to first base after laying down a bunt in front of Lady Bulldog pitcher Marissa Tupling while Pirate baserunner RaeLyn Nagle (3) sprints home from third. Third base Teagan Culley (5) stands ready to assist.

DAYTON–The Lady Bulldogs finished a sweep of the Pomeroy Lady Pirates with a 19-8 win Tuesday, and wins by 26-14 and 30-19 last weekend to reside firmly in second place with a 7-2 league record behind 8-1 Colton as the season winds down.

The Lady Pirates were wobbily in the first inning here Tuesday while the Lady Bullsdogs racked up a bunch of runs then held on against Pirate rallies to win 19-8....
