What's New at School?

The Home stretch

DAYTON–The Class of 2024 has four weeks of school left until they officially end their high school careers! What a year it has been so far!

The following are critical dates for seniors to remember.

May 22 and 29 graduation cap decorating/outline to be approved by the principal during Advisory.

June 3 final grade check at 3 p.m.; those passing to graduate will receive caps and gowns.

June 3-4 check-out papers and fines from Angie in the officer.

June 5 the bus leaves at 8 a.m. for the Senior Trip in Coeur d'Alene, and the seniors return to the high school at 10 p.m.

June 6, graduation practice (mandatory) starting at 11 a.m. and Scholarship Night at 6 p.m. Turn-in for graduation caps are due this day to the principal and will be returned the following day.

June 7, there will be a mandatory dress rehearsal graduation practice at 1:15 p.m., followed by a class picture in caps and gowns and a walk through the elementary and middle school at 2:45 p.m.

Baccalaureate will take place later that evening at 6 p.m.

June 8 Graduation will occur in the Dayton High School (DHS) Gym at 12 p.m., and Seniors must be there by 11:30 a.m.

In sports news, DHS Golf compete at Districts in Warden at the Sage Hills Golf Club on May 13. The DHS Softball team competed in District Playoffs on this day.
