DAYTON–The Dayton FFA Agriculture Sales (Ag Sales) team of four competed against five other groups at the District VI contest in Colton, Wash., on February 26. They celebrated a second-place victory which qualified them for the state competition.

The Ag Sales team pitched a line of chainsaws to sell, to a panel of judges. The team members were expected to exhibit an understanding of the product, and demonstrate sales procedures as individuals. The team was also able to participate in a team activity evaluating which chainsaw from the brands they offered would be suitable for a customer's specific need.

With spring quickly approaching and a good three weeks of rest after a busy and long basketball season, it is time for the final sport season of the year to begin. And are they ready to jump back into practices this week. The spring sport program line-up for Dayton-Waitsburg include Softball, Baseball, Track and Field, and Golf.

High School clubs and athletes are ready to take on spring, and the FFA Ag. Sales team is preparing for state competition. Spring has sprung with unlimited opportunity.
