Shirley Nettleton

March 19, 1938-December 3, 2020

Shirley Jeanette (Power) Nettleton passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020.

Shirley was born March 19, 1938, to Ernest Everett and Nadine (Stillwill) Power in Mountain Grove, Missouri.

She attended elementary school in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She attended high school in Dayton, Washington, graduating in 1956.

Shirley married Russell Lee Nettleton July 3, 1956. They were married almost 60 years. Russell passed away April 23, 2016.

Together they had four children: Kenneth, Rusann, Ricky, and Brenda.

She worked at City Lumber as an office worker, Green Giant in Personnel, Dayton Chronicle as a composer under three owners, and at Christy's Realty as office worker under two owners.

Her hobbies included: Reading, Crossword Puzzles, Jigsaw Puzzles, playing card games, bingo, and crocheting. She was a member of Dayton Eagles Auxiliary #2618.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Russell Nettleton, her parents Ernest and Nadine Power, and her sister Geraldine (Jeri) Mollenhauer.

She is survived by her children Kenneth (Betty) Nettleton, Rusann (David) Brooks, Ricky (Kathee Juris) Nettleton, and Brenda (John) Hagfeldt, four nieces Annette Hacker, Traci Pierson, Sue Harris, and Julie Lindholm, 19 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Family graveside services will be at the family plot in the Dayton City Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to the charity of the donor’s choice through Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home, 111 S. 2nd St., Dayton, WA 99328.
