Public meeting of Green Ridge Fire reveals the extent of fire lines

This aerial photo of the Green Ridge fire was taken July 16, and it has since grown to over 2,086 acres as of July 20. This fire is about 13 miles from Dayton and 6½ miles from Camp Wooten. Another nearby fire, Lick Creek, is about 7½ miles from Camp Wooten. Fire officials anticipate containment of the fire on August 31. Some 300 fire fighters are on this fire, which was started by lightning July 7.
DAYTON-Members of the Northwest Incident Management Team 7 hosted a presentation of the Green Ridge Fire on July 15 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds Pavilion. The presentation was also streamed live on Facebook and continues to be available for viewing on the Columbia County Fire District #3 (CCFD) Facebook page.
