Boe Stevenson is a candidate for City Council Position 1.
Stevenson is 45 years of age and owns Boe Designs Graphic Design & Screen Printing.
This is his first time running for public office and previous leadership service includes designing the Dayton/Waitsburg Combine Logo for our school's athletics departments pro bono. Wolfpack is the new designation for the athletics combine.
Stevenson is a native of the Northwest, hailing from Great Falls, Mont. He moved to the Walla Walla Valley in 2006 and has been a resident of Dayton for nearly ten years. His bachelor's degree is from Montana State University in Fine Arts and Graphic Design.
"I feel vested in this community and have grown to appreciate the opportunities that it provides," Stevenson said. "Moving my small business from Walla Walla to Dayton has proven to be a fruitful venture for me as I continue to grow.
"When I was approached several months ago, it was brought to my attention that the City Council was in need of viable candidates to occupy seats," Stevenson said. "As a 45-year-old citizen and small business owner, I feel that I will bring diversity and perhaps some fresh perspectives to the City Council.
"We need to consider Dayton as not only a small town, but as a small business," he said. "Anticipating the needs of our community and planning for those needs is paramount. In order to grow, we need to look to the future while learning from the past."
