Coyotes bite DW Wolfpack in twin bill

BURBANK–The Wolfpack fell behind early and couldn't recover in a 10-0 loss to Columbia here March 25. In the nightcap, the Wolfpack saw a little more offensive production but still lost 17-7.

A March 28 single game versus Touchet and a March 30 double header against Mac-Hi are next prior to Spring Break April 3-7.

In the first game, Columbia-Burbank Coyotes got their offense started when Logan Beck doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs in the first inning.

A double by Levi Boudrieau in the first inning was a positive for the Wolfpack. Jarred Hankins went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Wolfpack in hits.

Jasper Morrow led things off on the mound, going four innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits and striking out two. Jayce Gleason threw one-third of an inning in relief.

C-B totaled nine hits, all by Beck and Michael Lemke.

In the second game, Columbia jumped ahead thanks to a first-inning triple that scored three runs.

DW Wolfpack notched four runs in the fifth inning. Cyson Morris, Isaias Reyes, and Will Durham powered the big inning with RBIs.

Columbia-Burbank Coyotes scored six runs in the sixth inning. Columbia-Burbank Coyotes's big inning was driven by singles by Mason Schumacher and Michael Lemke, a walk by Schumacher, by James Dreier, and a double by Logan Beck.

Levi Boudrieau was on the pitcher's mound for DW. The right hander went three innings, allowing ten runs on eight hits and striking out two.

The Wolfpack totaled 11 hits. Morris, Reyes, and Boudrieau each managed multiple hits for DW. Reyes and Morris each managed three hits to lead the Wolfpack.
