DAYTON–All classes in the Dayton School District have been canceled for Wednesday, May 12, due to a threat, Superintendent Guy Strot informed the Dayton Chronicle Tuesday evening. LYONS FERRY–A single-car rollover accident six miles north of Starbuck on Highway 261 resulted in the driver and a 3-month-old infant receiving injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol. The District's minimum fund balance has an end-of-year balance close to $1 million–a number far larger than they've ever seen. This is due to FEMA money. Once again Washington experienced a very dry month, in fact a record dry month at many locations. Due to the lack of precipitation and lots of sunshine, many SNOTEL sites on the east side melted out 1-2 weeks early.
