What's New at School?

October 3, 2019

DAYTON–Victory is in the air for the Dayton-Waitsburg (DW) Volleyball girls. The Junior Varsity (JV), and Varsity teams won their games against Liberty Christian on Thursday night; the Varsity winning with four of three sets, and JV winning all three. Both games were fun filled and spirited for the players, as well as the vibrant crowd of dedicated students who come to support and chant for our beloved teams.

There is one thing the DW team and supporters are exceptional at, it’s spirit! The team will carry that confidence from their last game to the Liberty Christian court on Tuesday for another win!

For D-W football, Liberty Christian had the upper hand during Friday’s game winning 38-16 defeating the Dayton-Waitsburg Football boys.

The Dayton High School ASB and class officers had a meeting on Tuesday about the homecoming dance and shenanigans. The Associated Student Body (ASB) officers filled the class officers in on the details for homecoming week and more.

Homecoming this year will be on Saturday, October 19. The week prior to the dance, as usual, will be filled with fun school-wide activities; including stud volleyball, a field night, and a pep rally held on the courthouse lawn.

This year the ASB has replaced powder puff football with field night, where students will go to the football field to participate in games and competitions; class against class.

This fall for Dayton Highschool is going to be a good one.
